How am I paid?
The Staff Room offers a competitive daily rate of pay. We pay via our own in-house PAYE department which is completely free. We also offer other umbrella payroll options as an alternative. All options are paid weekly, direct into your bank account. If you are looking to register with an agency ensure they offer a free payroll service as hidden costs will make a substancial difference to your take home pay. You do not have to worry about submitting timesheets, we take care of the liaison between schools to confirm your work assignments. You will also have the choice to opt-in to our School Holiday Pay Scheme, where you will be able to accrue the holiday pay element of your daily rate and have this paid directly into your bank account at the beginning of every half-term!
How do you offer me further support?
We encourage all our candidates to keep in touch on a regular basis with regards feedback on assignments they have been on and availability for forthcoming work. We also welcome our candidates into the office during school breaks to keep in touch, letting us know of any concerns and what we can do for you.
